How to Make Corned Beef in the oven: step by step guide!

The corned beef brisket recipe at home does require a bit of planning, but the actual recipe is simple to prepare. For making corned Beef:

Step 1. Soak

Preheat your oven to 325°F, and as it heats, you can soak your Corned Beef with cold water. This removes the excess salt. If the water becomes super cloudy within a couple of minutes, change the water and soak for 15 minutes.

Step 2. Bake

In the meantime, heat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the corned beef fat side up in the baking pan using a rack, or use an oven-safe rack on a rimmed baking sheet. If you don’t have one dish, put the corned meat on the top of a bed of chopped onions to raise it above the baking pan.

It’s fine to apply a rub-on over the surface of your steak using Dijon mustard and other seasonings, or keep it easy and roast it just as is. Pour 1/2-inch water into the roasting pan.

Then, seal the pan with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 or 3 minutes (depending upon the thickness of your Brisket) until the meat has reached temperatures of 195 degrees. Make sure to check the pan frequently to ensure that it’s still filled with water.

Step 3: Add vegetables

Add vegetables

For an easy side dish, prepare the potatoes, carrots, and onions over the last half hour. Please place them in the bottom of the rack, alongside the corned Brisket. For a complete dish, serve the meat and the vegetables alongside an additional serving of crispy cabbage.

Step 4: Broil

To make a crispy crust on the surface of the Brisket, take off the foil of aluminum when the Brisket has reached the temperature you want. Place the broiler in the highest setting and bake for between 2 and 3 minutes until the top of the Brisket is crispy and golden brown.
