Pizza is essentially carbohydrate nirvana, and it is one of my most significant weaknesses. Who can say no to a cheesy, crunchy pie topped with bacon? With this straightforward and tasty keto pizza recipe, you can have your piece and savor it.
What is a keto pizza?
A keto pizza differs from a traditional pizza in many ways. It is low in carbohydrates and is perfect for someone who is used to consuming fast food before beginning a ketogenic diet. That way, the flavor of the pizza will be consistent with a regular pizza while still including keto-friendly elements in its composition.
Recipe of keto pizza
First, you will need 1-ounce cream cheese and 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Heat up the mozzarella and cream cheese in a microwave for 45 seconds or until the cheese melts on the edges. Now, continue to whisk until the cream cheese completely dissolves. It may seem difficult at first, but it will quickly become second nature to you.
Add egg, almond flour, baking powder, and herbs in the next step. Continue to blend until everything is thoroughly integrated. The dough may seem sticky at first, but this is normal.
Since the dough will be soft and tacky, you may roll it between two sheets of parchment paper. Or you can wet and lubricate your hands and push them flat with your palms to roll them out more quickly.
Two baking sessions are there for this recipe. One for the crust and another for the cheese and toppings to melt together. When the first bake requires 10 minutes, this would be an excellent opportunity to prepare the toppings for the pizza!
Bake for extra five minutes until the crust is done to your preferred doneness and the cheese is gooey and melted, depending on how many toppings you want to put on your pizza crust!
